About Us

This site explores the world of design;
the relationships of art and form to
function. Stunning solutions and out-
right failures. What works what doesn't.
Is it pretty but dumb? Ugly but still
functional? We discuss the tradeoffs
inherent in this balance, and celebrate
the wonder,creativity and inspiration
inherent infine design.

All observations and reviews are based
on objects/products purchased and used firsthand by the Designgauge team. Or in some rare instances where ownership is not possible or relevant, we have spent an extensive amount of time using the product. We provide generous-sized images to better illustrate the details and form of the products (All pictures can be clicked through to reveal a larger view). All photography is original, shot by Kevin Perera.
